The average price of gas in WNY; Not good

Gasoline for our vehicles is one of the things we pay for every day. It’s something we all have to pay for, and that’s why it can be frustrating when gas prices start to rise and there’s not much you can do about it.

I remember when I was a kid the average gas price was between $1.50 and $1.90. My dad used to complain if it ever went over $2.00 a gallon; now we all wish gas prices were that low. Cars would be lined up around the block, and then some.

But in 2022, the price of gas is much higher.

The current price of gas is rising in Western New York. According to AAA of Western and Central New York, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.53.

That’s 4 cents more than last week.

WIVB says they were told the tension between Russia and Ukraine was to blame.

What about the national average? Where is this in relation to western New York?

the national average is $3.44 for a gallon of regular gas – 9 cents less than the Western New York average. The average for New York State is $3.58, which is only slightly higher than Western New York.

It’s harder in the winter, when gas mileage is more valuable, and you need to make sure there’s enough gas in your vehicle at all times, with impending snowstorms that could be at risk. ‘horizon.
